DAD!

My daughter stamps her furious feet

'See! You're doing it again!' she says.

'You're always patronising me!'

And I say 'patronising? What do you mean?'

And she says

'I hate it when you say

'You can't DO something because you're ONLY 14.'

And I say

'But you ARE only 14.'

And she says 'I know that!

So you don't have to keep telling me!

It's patronising!'

And I say

'That is SO ridiculous!

And anyway…

Do you know what 'patronising' really means?'

'EXACTLY!' she says.
